Atlanta Flight Training
PDK Flight Academy has all the Atlanta Flight Training resources necessary for you to receive the license you desire. From starting off as a student pilot all the way through your commercial license and multi-engine rating PDK Flight Academy can help you achieve your aviation goals.
Private Pilot License
Once you get your private pilot license you will be able to flight where you want to go and on your schedule. No more waiting in line for your bags, TSA screening line, or other delays. At a Cessna Pilot Center, you will be able to have your private pilot license and flying the skies in as little as 40 hours, although most people are ready around 55 hours. The basic requirements for a private pilot license are as follows:
- 40 hours total flight time
- 10 hours solo
- 5 hours of solo cross country time
- 150 nautical mile cross country with landings at 3 different airports
- 3 hours of flight training on maneuvering the airplane only referencing instruments

Instrument Rating

Commercial Pilot

- 250 hours total time
- 100 hours of pilot in command time
- 50 hours cross country time
- 10 hours of simulated or actual instrument time
- 10 hours of in a complex airplane
